FAQ
What exactly does a celebrant do?
I create and deliver ceremonies that celebrate life's important moments. My role is to make your ceremony filled with love, meaning and joy.
Are you legally able to marry us?
Not yet! In UK, celebrants can't legally marry couples. Most couples do the paperwork at a registry office beforehand, then have the real celebration with me. A celebration without restrictions, your love story, your way.
What is the difference between a Celebrant and a Registrar?
A Registrar takes care of registering your marriage in law, making sure your paperwork is in order. Ceremonies with a Registrar are formal, standardised and restrictive.
A Celebrant on the other hand offers more freedom & flexibility. Ceremonies are personal, relaxed and completely tailored to you.
Where can we hold our ceremony?
Anywhere you like ! In woodland, next to to the tree you first kissed at, your back garden or a grand venue. No restrictions just liberty to choose yourselves.
How far in advance should we book with you?
As soon as possible ! Popular dates get snapped up fast. I only do one ceremony a day & take bookings on a first come, first served basis. If its short notice - reach out - I may be free.
Will you do destination ceremonies?
Yes I love to travel and can come to you. There are a few additional expenses with overseas weddings, that would cover my time, travel expenses and accommodation. I do a limited number of overseas weddings each year, so that I can deliver a great experience.
How long does a ceremony last?
Most ceremonies last around 30 -40 minutes. You decide. My job will be to make sure it is just right in length to keep everyone engaged and happy.
